Hello, I'm Credit, the "dear youngster," and a real character
I am as well. I'm a very happy dog, full of fun. Also, of course, I'm
exceptionally smart, and I learn very quickly.
I love tennis balls, dunno why. I think it must be that soft yellow fluff. (Of
course, they don't stay that way when it's muddy, and Mum has to put them in
the washing machine. With other laundry of course, otherwise it's like having
the lottery draw in the kitchen, but it does bring the yellow fluff back a real
treat...)
When it comes to Agility training, I enjoy it very much. Being a very athletic dog, I find it's a doddle. As soon as I started competition, I realised this was going to be my role in life, and I have had quite a few good places.
Though at first glance I appear to be black and white, I am in fact a
most unusual colour, a chocolate sable. In sunlight, there is a definite
brown tinge to my coat, (especially when I stand alongside a black and white
collie,) there is a lovely antique brown round my eyes, and plenty of fawn
colouring in my beautiful feathering.
My face and legs are absolutely covered in spots!
It has often been asked how I came to be named Credit. It stems from that 'tick' mark on my head, that can be plainly seen in the puppy pictures below. In fact, I used to be referred to as 'Tick' in my baby home. A name was wanted that related to the mark, but I didn't want to be named after a parasite. (!)
Someone suggested 'Sure,' but I didn't want to be named after a deodorant either. My doggie friend was already called 'Nike,' so eventually I was named Credit' .... as in buying 'on tick.' A nice unusual name that shortens itself neatly to 'Cred' when a sharp short collie type name is needed.
At least I don't meet other dogs with the same name!
Now for some photos....

and Mum, Jess and Kizzie.
(See, I got the spots from my Dad!)

At a couple of weeks old.

Here I am at 6 weeks.... spots already appearing.

Difficult to believe I was ever tiny enough to sit under Kizzie like this!

Here's I am with my litter brother, Bovva, who is working in competitive Dog Obedience. Like me, he is clever and learns quickly.
Many thanks go to Bovva's owner Sharon Webley, for providing the puppy photographs.
